The pathologist took time to show me my old heart. It had already been disected and examined so he showed me all the workings of the human heart, for REAL! I got to see into the arteries of my heart which were clear and unobstructed. Each valve looked just like the pictures you see in the books. The problem with my heart was evident and the pathologist pointed out the deviated septum where it had deviated over to the right. The left ventricle was enlarged and because of the septum deviation, the capacity of the right ventricle had been reduced.
Thanks to Paige for helping me get this arranged and to Dr. Stargel for being so patient with me.
You can also see a picture of me and my surgeon. or a picture of me and my cardiologist. These two guys were major players in my return to the real world.
